"Bank holiday emergency admission"

About: University Hospital Of North Tees

I was admitted to the hospital via the A&E and spent 2 nights in the hospital over the bank holiday weekend. If was clear that not all departments were fully staffed (ie radiology was ready for emergecy but not fully staffed for investigative tests). I suppose I think this is fair given the health trust managing costs and that most of these tests can be scheduled and are rarely emergency. However the doctors and nurses who attended to me were very experienced, and even better, had an amazing bedside manner. I was informed along the way, my pain manage very proactively, and treated in a gentle and caring manner. I saw the nurses be amazingly patient with one difficult patient, never losing their calm and collected manner. In all I would give this hospital a 10/10 score. Thanks in particular to the nurses on ward 30, you give nursing a good name!
