"Cheerful, patient and professional"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

South West Ambulance Service came to help me this morning. They were cheerful, patient and professional. Jonathan Thomas was the paramedic and he was supported by 2 trainee paramedics Hayley Mallinson and Sarah Symons.

Mine was a simple problem and with their help, encouragement and perhaps a little Entonox, I was able to start moving again after being immobile for 2 hours. I had a locked knee and when they arrived, I could not even get on a chair. I also knew I had a torn meniscus.

They all worked over shift and went above and beyond to help me. We live miles out in the country down a very narrow country lane and it's very difficult to find us. There is also no mobile signal in our area so I had to direct them to us via the radio dispatcher. They even climbed up on gates to find the best route to get to us.
