"Cook4life Group was very patient-centred "

About: Adult Specialist Services / Nutrition & dietetics

(as a carer),

Jenny Taylor came to run a 4 week Cook4Life course for us in February.

We wanted to raise awareness of healthy ways to cook simple meals and portion sizes within a learning disability service.

We are a private company that look after individuals with learning disabilities and mental health difficulties on an in-patient basis.

Jenny was very open to finding out ways in which we could best engage our clients, and specifically focused on the areas of difficulties for our clients (I. e. identifying healthy and unhealthy foods).

Her approach was very patient-centred and she did well engaging a client group that have some significant communication difficulties.
