What I liked
Absolutely nothing at all, apart from getting discharged.
What could be improved
Communication, respect for feelings, information. I don't remember once getting a direct answer to any question I asked during my whole experience. Nurses (some not all) need to understand that being in hospital at any time, let alone Christmas is bad enough, but to put up with their lively joyful banter about how much of a wonderful time they were having, was just too much to bear. I was seperated from my wife and missed my baby girl's 1st christmas, and to top all this I'm suffering from meningitis, and not really knowing if I was going to be ok, because nobody could tell me. A total lack of understanding to peoples feelings were too often demonstrated.
Anything else?
The food is nothing far short of disgusting. If you ordered bread & butter to bolster the meagre portions, it arrived so stale and hard, you wouldn't feed it the ducks! The soup doesn't change colour or flavour despite a name change, and always looked like sick. Most off putting. Casseroles made with veg, never seemed to have any, and for that matter didn't have much meat either. It was quite a disgrace.
