What I liked all the staff, from top to bottom, were exceptional. I was admitted with a nasty cat bite to C3 ward, and was there on an antibiotic drip for 3 days. When it was time to go home the consultants were lovely, telling me if i had any problems to get in touch. The nurses were cheerful and excellent caregivers, and even the lady who is in charge of meals was full of cheerful banter. Thank you all from ward C3! How very different from my stay at QA this past week, where 65% of the nurses were brusque, and seemed to have lost the will to give care! I was thankful that I was reasonably mobile! What could be improved? this hospital should be kept open. it is lunacy to close it! QA was sooo busy when i was discharged.... my partner had to queue to get into the car park, and the road that runs past the main entrance was like a busy high street. It will never cope with all the extra patients. Waiting times will be longer than ever. Anything else? KEEP HASLAR OPEN!!!
