After my diagnosis with breast cancer in 2009 my local hospital had me booked in for a mastectomy. My husband read an article about a Professor at the Royal Free who was doing innovative surgery and I was able to make an appointment to see the Professor as I already had a cancer diagnosis. The Professor was clear and straightforward in his advice on treatment which I was happy to accept. His team are excellent and supportive and have looked after me so well. I have now had surgery/radiotherapy/chemotherapy at the Royal Free and been treated in many different diagnostic and therapeutic departments as well as having 3 stays as an in-patient. I wish to thank the Professor and his team and all the other consultants/doctors/nurses/therapists/ward staff and support staff for the excellent treatment I have received over the past 5 years. I am so grateful for the treatment which has made me well and for the continuing monitoring which gives me peace of mind. I could not have received better care anywhere.
