"Cycle Parking"

About: The Maidstone Hospital

As I was only 10 miles away in Chatham I cycled for my eye clinic appointment. I believe there are in excess of 1300 places for cars, but only one rack for 5 bikes! No wonder obesity is such a problem when even hospitals only cater for cars. On my next visit I will still cycle as I refuse to use my car for such a small distance.

Dear Tony, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback on the bicycle parking facilities at Maidstone Hospital. We have 3 bicycle shelters on site: one near the main entrance with spaces for a minimum of 8 bicycles, one near the Kent Oncology Centre with spaces for a minimum of 16 bicycles and one outside the rear pedestrian entrance, near the Breast Unit, with spaces for a minimum of 8 bicycles. We hope this information is helpful, but should you require any further assistance, please contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 01622 224960, email us at mtwpals@nhs.net or ask at main reception next time you visit. Kind regards, The PALS Team.
