I fell on a pavement and my husband took me to A&E at Wansbeck Hospital and to the Fracture Clinic the following day.

I wanted to say what excellent service I was given in both departments. I was seen promptly on arrival, assessed and sent to the minor injuries unit. I was seen there very quickly by a doctor and sent for an x-ray. The results of this arrived within 20 minutes and a follow up appointment was made for the following morning at 9.00 am.

At the fracture clinic I was seen almost immediately and was out of the hospital by 9.20 am. I could not have had better service anywhere else and since we all tend to complain when things go wrong I felt it appropriate to let everyone know how I was treated and how pleased I was with the result.
