"Ward 28 never again!"

About: Leicester General Hospital

I was admitted to this ward for surgery most staff were ok but one in particular was so rude. I didn't drink for over a day and was told if I didn't go to the toilet she would put a catheter in. When I said I couldn't has I hadn't drank because my table was moved and I couldn't reach. She almost called me a liar. She told me to get out of bed and go toilet. I couldn't move and was in pain, I didn't need to go. When shift was changing she whispered to another calling me like I was a pain. I work in care and think it was totally out of order.

Dear reviewer, Thank you for taking the time to post your comment. We are very sorry to read about your experience of ward 28 at the General. This behaviour is completely unacceptable and does not reflect the level of care we expect our staff to provide. We would like to look into your concerns further to ensure we make improvements for future patients. If you are happy for us to do so, please email your details (full name, address, date of birth and hospital number) to our deputy head of nursing for Urology, Kerry.Johnston@uhl-tr.nhs.uk Kind regards, Communications team Leicester’s Hospitals
