"Admission through A&E and stay in Ward 21"

About: University Hospital Aintree

My mother has an existing brain injury and was taken to A&E following a further head injury. The care she received there was excellent - she had a full body CT scan immediately which she waited for over several days at a previous hospital. She stayed in ward 21 for 5 weeks and the staff were great - they could not have been more caring. However, as well as treating her for the head injury, they also got her confidence up, improved her walking, etc - better than it was before, even though this was not why she was there. I really cannot praise them or thank them enough - the nurses! HCAs and the physio are really exceptional in their skill and their genuine care for patients.

We are delighted that your mother was so well cared for by our teams in A&E and Ward 21. Thank you for taking the time to send this message, which we will pass on to the staff involved.
