My mother tripped over a step and cut her forehead open. I called 999 and was still answering the receptionist's questions when there was a knock at the door and Mike and Marcus from the Camelford Ambulance Service were there with a smile.
They were efficient, friendly, courteous and made my mother comfortable and at ease. They arranged for a minor cut medic to call in later to stitch/glue/dress the wound. Melanie arrived from Bodmin shortly after they had left and after further assessment dealt with the wound. I was left with plenty of information and a leaflet for after care.
I was so impressed by the efficiency, empathy and demeanour of all three who came to my mother's aid. It was wonderful to have her treated at home rather than having to travel to all the way to Treliske hospital, Truro, Cornwall from Delabole, Cornwall to sit in A & E on a Saturday evening.
