"Day Surgery"

My daughter recently had an operation at Springfield in the Chelmer Day Unit. The care and attention she received as an NHS patient was outstanding. The nurse was caring and thoughtful and we could not have asked for a more diligent nurse. The next day, although at home, my daughter was suffering a lot of pain so I popped into the hospital and was greeted by the same nurse, she who went out of her way to make sure my daughter received everything she needed. I can't praise her enough. I assume that this site is generally just read by patients but if the 'powers that be' get to read this I hope that they are rightly commended for going that extra mile and for being the sort of nurse that we all wish we could be treated by.
