"bladder cancer"

About: Southport & Formby District General Hospital

Having just recently been diagnosed with bladder cancer I had to have another biopsy, arriving at the hospital for 8am I was asked to wait in the discharge lounge as there was nowhere else for us to wait.(me and four other people.)After all my details were taken nearly 3hrs later I thought I was on my way, no such luck! After 6hrs I was told to change into my gown, when I asked where I could get changed I was told in the toilet!! Imagine this in a hospital toilet used by god knows how many people and nowhere to put your clothes before you walk across to the operating theatre, eventually got to theatre at 2.30, six and a half hours later. As for the results of the biopsy I have to wait 3wks before I get to see a doctor for the results, an absolute joke. Am sorry to say but southport hospital needs a good review of their patient waiting time.
