My son has a very rare bone condition and was referred here at 16 following discharge of treatment at GOSH. Since then he has had to have 4 major operations there. The whole team are superb and a credit to the NHS, many other hospitals could learn from them. They are proof that you don't need to have a flashy modern hospital in order to succeed. What goes on inside is what matters. The staff all work as a team, from porters who arrive at the time they say they will & are always happy to be at work and make the patient feel less frightened to the pharmacy team who drop in every day to check your medications. Outpatients staff are pleasant, and the whole process of having surgery starting with the pre op and skilled nurses is thorough and reassuring. The knowledge and expertise on offer by the surgeons and consultants we have seen is first class. We feel extremely blessed to have such excellent care and look forward to seeing the hospital re development happen and finally give the staff the working environment they deserve. We look forward to our annual buttercup walk to help this hospital achieve it's aims.
