"Ward 4 staff could not have been more caring and..."

About: Hull Royal Infirmary

I was admitted onto Ward 4 on Tuesday 29th April, 2014. I had been awaiting an operation by the Neurosurgury Team and managed to get a cancellation. From the moment I arrived onto the ward, i was greeted by every member is staff in a caring manner and everything was explained to me. The ward was extremely clean and tidy. I had my operation first thing on Wednesday morning and the Consultant went through the procedure in fine details to help me understand what would be happening. This put me at ease straight away. I canon fault any member of staff I came across, from Theatre staff, ward staff, Consultants, they were all amazing and made my stay in hospital bearable. As for the operation, I now have feeing back in my leg and am amazed at the results. I had been in agony sine before Christmas with a bulging disc and trapped nerve, L5, S1. I have not been able to walk or work. I came home today, 1st May. Although my back in sore were the incision was, my pain level has come down from a permanent 8-10 to a level 1-2. I am thrilled with the results! Thank you to a fantastic team at Hull Royal Infirmary, Neorology Team and Ward 4.
