"review of a carer"

About: Ashford Hospital

, My father is 90 and rather frail now,he had a cataract operation recently, which unfortunately happened the day after my mums funeral. I quietly told a nurse and very kindly and discreetly dad was seen to first. All the staff including the consultant have always treated my dad with the utmost respect,i have nothing but praise. The only problem is the waiting area, the chairs are very poor for an elderly person, dad needs arms on a chair to lever himself up,he gets very embarassed at nurses trying to haul him up.So please for the dignity of the elderly get a few chairs with arms.

Thank you for you post. We are pleased to hear about your and your father’s positive experience at our Trust, and will pass on you kind comments to the team in question. Thank you also for raising the issue of the chairs in the waiting area we will pass this onto the team to address too. Many thanks. .
