"Extremly unhappy - Possible Ectopic Pregnancy"

About: Dewsbury & District Hospital

So, i was referred to the A + E department to see a gynaecologist due to my doctor suspecting an ectopic pregnancy. ( They are very common in my family along with cysts and other ovarian issues). Worried i turned up there hoping for some information and solving my terrible pain that i got intermittently. After having blood tests urine tests i was asked if they could have a look and take some swabs. Of course i agreed. They did the examination painfully and i was left bleeding on the bed in pain. The gynaecologist proceeded to say she needed to keep me in to have a scan and possibly a laparoscopy to find the baby. I explained its 5+ weeks into the pregnancy although hard to date due to my periods being irregular. Again i agreed and she left the room. She came back 15 minutes later to send me home. After making me start bleeding and no test results told me me i was told they couldnt do anything. I wasn't offered a scan to try see the sacs or where they implanted. She wanted a heart beat only. They simply gave up and sent me home. Im worse off than i was when i walked into the hospital. In pain, now im bleeding and twice as worried. Unable to work as the pain cripples me over when its present Why would i be told i would be scanned and then completly changed her mind? Why would i even be referred if it was too early. Ive been told differently by other doctors that they just need to see where the sac implanted. I was also told it was good i caught it early! Now ive been sent home to worry. Im very unhappy with my consultation and i voiced this at the time to which she shrugged and said there's nothing she can do. I wont be going there ever again. Disgusted with misleading information and also no attempt to even try to scan to find my baby.
