What I liked

The out of hours GP service Receptionist and Doctor on duty 21/12/08 in A+E at approx 3pm.

I liked the fact that as I had an infection I could be seen by a doctor within an hour and did not have to join the A+E queue.

I attended with an infection in my mouth and the doctor treated me with dignity and respect even though I had a dental problem, which the Hampshire Emergency Dental Service could not help me with due to a lack of appts. He provided me with helpful treatment to relieve my pain and infection.

The receptionist was also friendly and helpful. Thank you.

What could be improved

The environment in the A+E in unwelcoming and newly arriving patients do not understand what the process is to get booked in (odd need to take a ticket).

The toilets were not very clean however the area had a high footfall at the time.

Anything else?

NHS Direct was great on the telephone too.
