"my visit to the ophthalmology department"

About: Peterborough City Hospital

After a wait of 8 weeks ( far to long especially when one is in a state of panic about my sight) I attended the dept on Tuesday the 29th April 2014. The department had laid on an extra clinic to try and reduce the waiting time, I was seen almost on my appointment time and dealt with by staff that were very courteous, and professional. The eye specialist was extremely patient, discussed all options with me and dealt with the eye problem there and then. It was with a great feeling of relief and gratitude that I left the department that day. May I say a big thank you to all the staff. When you read of the horror stories about other hospitals I can only say here in Peterborough we have a hospital we can be proud of.

Thank you for such lovely comments which I know the staff will be thrilled to read as they have been working so hard to reduce their waiting times.
