"Taking elderly mother for Physiotherapy..."

The worst place I have ever been for health care. Staff very rude, arrogant and uncaring. Wasted the whole appointment going over my mothers history so did not even do any exercises. My mother has great difficulty walking, but the hospital has no wheelchairs or aids to help her even get to the department...took 15 minutes to arrange a follow up appointment which has not yet been confirmed and was told may possibly get cancelled nearer the time. Radio was blaring in the open plan appointment desk area and the attitude of the staff working there was unbelievably impolite, at one point the Physio booked a follow up for my mother to come back at 10-11am, when the front reception was given the appointment slip, she rudely told me only 1pm was available, and said the Physio did not know what she was doing! I was asked to ring back to inform the Physio which painkiller my mother was taking, I tried several attempts that day to call, but went straight to answer phone. Left 2 messages on the voicemail, no call back as yet. The whole hospital is drab, dreary, and depressing. The signage and accessibility is extremely poor so if you have patients with restricted mobility, I would think twice about going there. I will be making a formal complaint to the NHS, and never set foot in St Ann's again, it is a disgrace and embarrassment to the NHS service which I usually find to be professional and effective.
