"I think the service could be more efficient"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

I was disappointed that the referral from my GP was not specific enough to direct the appointment to the person I waited to see – but was generic and had to go through junior doctors prior to seeing the consultant.

In my case, I explained fully the reason why and to whom I wanted to be referred – thus cutting out valuable time wasting on unnecessary appointments.

Albeit my condition is not life threatening – I think the service could be more efficient by GPs acknowledging a specific request and not putting in a generic referral.

However, I note that your comments relate specifically to the service provided by your GP and TRAQS is unable to comment in these circumstances. Therefore, I suggest you may wish to contact the Practice Manager direct, who will be pleased to address your concerns.
