I was very sceptical about being operated on at Pilgrim again as in the past I have had some bad experiences of this hospital how things have improved! My operation was cancelled a couple of times but I eventually had surgery as a day case yesterday and it was fine. I arrived at hospital at 7.30 and was operated on at approx 11am which wasn't much of a wait at all. The Nurses who were on duty in the morning were lovely and so cheerful and considerate, wish the same could have been said about the afternoon staff who were on the whole miserable, I even heard one nurse shouting at the buzzer "go away" not what you expect from what should be a caring professional! Apart from that incidence of bad bedside manner the operation went really well and I was treated really kindly by the Specialists and Doctors who I met, they informed me of all aspects my operation and treated me in an intelligent and informative manner.
"Big improvement"
