I was taken by ambulance to A&E as I was getting chest pains / pressure. The ambulance crew were nice and so were the nurses on the A&E unit and Observation area. I did ask them a couple of times throughout my stay what did they check for in the blood tests.... but I never really got an answer... all I was told that my two loots of bloods 3 hours apart were just being sent off to check that all was well and nothing showed up as damage to my heart.... at 1.30am they told me I could go and that a letter would be sent to my GP... I asked for a copy so I could have a look, but was told it would all go my GP. Naturally I was pleased that all was well.....as they did, chest Xray, ECGs Heart monitor, Blood pressure etc, but I had two lots of blood taken, but what else would it be checked for? or was it just to look for changes in the heart? I am not manic about my health:)) but I just wanted to know if was checked for other things? I just can't understand as to why I was left in the dark a bit
