"Oncology Department experience"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Oncology unit

(as the patient),

I began chemotherapy in 2011.

Firstly when I was told I had cancer I was dismayed and shocked as was my family.

I had quite a bad time due to chemotherapy causing a coronary artery vasospasm which led to an angiogram.

I have gone through four major procedures one of which was completed at FVRH Larbert.

The care and compassion shown by the staff of the Oncology Clinic was second to none.

The surgeon whom completed a procedure on my colon was kind, caring and a perfect gentleman. Although I experienced a problem regarding the fitting of a Hickman Line I cannot praise the majority of employees at Forth Valley enough.

Regards

Thanks Arlian, I found our meeting productive.

I am at present writing a book regarding my journey over the last three years and share more details of less positive aspects in that.
