"Review post discharge"

I was referred from The Heath Hospital in Cardiff to have my heart surgery done at Hammersmith, due to the long waiting list. I was very apprehensive undergoing major surgery; plus being in an unfamiliar environment and my wife being on her own at this difficult time. From day one at the Pre Assessment day, the admission process, and the excellent, and professional care that we received on Intensive Care - A6 and A9 wards was exemplary. Many of the staff went far beyond the call of duty in every way. It has also been very reassuring that on my return home we have been contacted twice to ensure my recovery was not causing any problems. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending the Cardiothoracic Surgical Team at Hammersmith Hospital to everyone. Thank You Declan Martin
