"Ward 8 maternity unit"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Maternity unit

(as the patient),

I attended for a scan at 38 weeks to be told my baby's heart had stopped. I was admitted to ward 8 where the staff were fantastic and very supportive towards me and my partner.

Midwife Toni really stood out from the rest as she was so kind and thoughtful throughout my care. I was ready to deliver and she stayed on passed her shift so that I had someone there who my husband and I knew.

It was the hardest thing my husband and I have ever gone through but because of Toni it was made a bit easier. No words can thank her enough with what she done for us.

The other midwives were Alana and I think Christine thank you again.

I am very sorry to hear about the sad loss of your baby and feel very humbled that at a time of such sorrow you have found the strength to praise the staff who cared for you.

I will ensure that Toni, Alana and Christine get a copy of your posting which I know will have a big impact on them.

My thoughts are with you, your partner and family.
