"hernia operation"

About: Good Hope Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

Arrived in the morning to a very crowded waiting room in the Day Case Unit.

It was difficult to hear the lady calling out numbers - no electronic sign saying next number. Apprehensive.

80'c and the nurses arrive. The waiting room cleared like magic and I was cheerfully escorted to Bed B3. First in for surgery.

The camaraderie and bonhomie of all staff was catching and confidence building as one felt that here were people who knew what they were doing and showed TLC as a first requirement of their job. Thanks to all and a GOLD STAR for Miss James and all the staff.

Thanks Herniaitis

I'm glad your experience at Good Hope was positive & I hope you're making a good recovery.

I've passed this onto the day-surgery team as they should rightly be proud of the service they're providing.

Thanks again for taking the time to comment.

Regards

Richard
