"People should be made aware of the chaplain service"

About: The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust

(as a staff member),

I work on a medical ward, many patients are very poorly.

We have a chaplain service at the hospital but with many patients being confined to the bed/ward I thought it would be an idea to make the chaplain service more known to these patients who might need some spiritual support but are unaware it is there: )

Thank you for taking the timer to let us know your thoughts about the way we let patients know about our chaplaincy service. Our chaplaincy service is advertised on the Trust website and we do encourage all our frontline staff to inform patients about the services we offer.

We are currently in the process of developing a chaplaincy poster and leaflet to make sure more of our patients are aware the service. The next version of our ‘Welcome to the Ward’ leaflets will also include information for patients about the chaplaincy service.
