I recently visited the Day Surgery Unit at Lincoln to have a cortisone injection in my hip. I was waiting for a few hours for my turn in theatre, but had been advised beforehand that this may occur due to the theatre list changing. Not knowing what to expect, I was very nervous, and all staff, particularly the anaesthetic team, were brilliant and put me at ease. I had to ask for more painkillers during my wait for surgery, and I feel that this was handled quickly and safely, with the nurse I asked checking with my surgeon to make sure it was safe to do so. I would like to thank all the staff on the day surgery unit for helping me through my visit.
"Helpful and friendly staff"
