"Blood test left me badly bruised"

I attended a blood test at Bradwell hospital last week, I always go there because i don't have to wait long as I absolutely hate needles at the best of times & I have to have regular tests done. I was left with a very very nasty black bruise & swollen vein & hole we're the needle entered. 5 days later & I am still badly bruised! I seriously feel some re-training should be in order here as I've never experienced this before & felt I was dealt with rather roughly to be honest as my blood test has caused me actual physical injury. As the needle went in it felt like it was blunt as it left a hole in my skin & my vein began to balloon up immediately. By the time I got home I was in a lot of pain & awful bruising started to appear. My arm now has a huge black bruise around the area were the blood was taken & I am very upset about it. I now have to visit my GP to check my vein is ok. I would hate for this to happen to any one else especially the elderly. I will not be returning here for some time.......
