I went into Chase farm hospital Day only surgery assessments (DOSA). I was having tympanostomy tubes out in both ears. Having got there early for a 09.30am appt, l was spoken to with great kindness, although deaf, everyone knew to speak up. Walked into theatre at 09.20am. The theatre staff listened as l told them of a worry l had and reassured me they would do what l requested. Having woke up in the recovery room at 10.20am, l cried, to be able to hear for me was a miracle as l was becoming withdrawn from the world, and very miserable. The papers say to be prepared to stay 4-6 hours, but l was in and out the doors in 3 and a half hours, eager to get back to normality. No after effects like pain or infections. My absolute Thanks go out to the ENT doctors, ward staff, theatre staff, even down to apppointment staff. My life is changed for the better. Thank You, from me and all my family who are equally grateful. xxxxxxxxxxxxx
