I have had both of my babies at the birth unit in Gloucester and felt the care I received was of an excellent standard on both occasions. My first birth was completely straightforward - and when I got to the birth unit they were understaffed so they sent a midwife up from the hospital to look after me to ensure I could have the birth centre setting I had wanted which I really appreciated. After my second birth, I needed to stay in for one night in the birth unit and one night on the ward. My second baby was delivered by the midwife who was very professional and straightforward which is an approach I really liked. Another lovely midwife then looked after me throughout the night and I saw a kindness from her which went above what I imagine would be required in the standard job description. The staff on the ward were all great as well, with a nice nurse who really helped me get through my day there with her positive and friendly attitude. A great experience overall, thank you!
"Brilliant care and lovely staff"
