"Excellent care and facilities"

The care I received from staff was excellent, from arriving at SAL to going into theatre to my stay on Hestercombe Ward. Everyone was kind, considerate, spent time ensuring I understood what was happening and worked hard to respect my dignity. I really appreciated the use of humour to make me feel at ease during a difficult time. My room in the new Hestercombe ward was a revelation, it was bright, airy and well equipped. Every member of staff took the time to close the blinds and check I was happy before carrying out examinations. I can't commend enough everyone that was involved in my care, if I could I would name them all. The new facilities are amazing and I loved having the privacy of a room of my own but it is level of care that makes the most difference to your recovery.
