"Pain clinic - treated like a human!"

About: Warwick Hospital

Having had several unsuccessful meetings with the medical profession about my M.E. I was nervous about my appointment with the Consultant, afraid it would be the same dismissal or generalised support. He didn't promise to cure me and didn't tell me just to accept my illness. He offered emotional support and practical advice. He made suitable referrals and left me feeling hopeful and delighted with the service I had received. The nurse I met prior to my appointment was extremely welcoming and offered to allow me to sit away from everyone when I said I had struggled cognitively with so many people. Another nurse stopped me in the corridor when I was looking lost and solved a problem for me. This is my second visit to the hospital and I've been very pleased both times.
