"Visit to urgent care centre with 14 mth old baby"

About: Skegness Hospital

We had to take my grandson to the urgent care dept on Easter Sat and again on Sunday . He was quite poorly and diagnosed with a chest infection. On arriving we were treated with care and told we would be called shortly. True to her word we were taken into a childs room and a doctor arrived quite quickly. I am sorry I did not get his name but he was very good with my grandson and even told us where to get the prescription from. We were seen and on our way in less than an hour. Unfortunately we had to return with him the next day as he was crying and hot which was worrying as he is only 14 mths old and you can never be sure how poorly at that age. Again my daughter and grandson were seen very quickly and she said the doctor was very reassuring and told her if she was at all worried to bring him back. Luckily he has improved and we have now returned home from our caravan. We would just like to say a big thank you and are grateful for the care shown. We know the NHS gets bad results and at busy times there is a wait but people are quick to complain but not to compliment. Also many thanks to the kind nurse who used her card to let us through to the centre as we had parked in the wrong area.

We endeavour to provide high quality care and it is always very nice to receive such positive comments. This will be shared with the staff in the Urgent Care Centre.
