It was discovered that i had to have a major operation on my neck after i kept getting numbness down one side of my body. I had to have reconstructive surgery. I had to have bone removed from my pelvis, to form new bones for my neck. as my neck hadn't formed properly through birth. My Surgeon was really supportive & re-assuring. I felt safe & confident that i would be fine. After 12 hours in surgery, i was taken to the ict unit. However, due to the drugs etc, i started hullucinating & unfortunately, started to get very abusive & threatening to members of staff. After what seems like days, i came to my senses, & started to recover. However, no-one explained to me why this happened. Since i have been home, i now get panic attacks & scared to sleep. I just wish some-one had sat me down & said that this is sometime normal & the staff take it in their stride. The staff were & are outstanding though. Wouldn't know how to thank them enough for giving me my life back.
