"When we eventually left."

About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

(as a relative),

What I liked

When we eventually left.

What could be improved

The administration of the hospital is appalling, incorrect apppointment times, failing to contact doctors, forgetting to advise patient as to what is actually happening with their treatment

We're sorry that this was your experience as it is by no means typical of the care provided at the QEII. We always advise anyone experiencing such problems to ensure that they talk to the sister in charge of the ward - if they are on a ward - or the senior nurse in charge of outpatients. If that's not possible, then we have duty matrons available at many times of the day who can step in and sort such problems out. Where action is taken at the time, such problems can often be resolved there and then to everyone's satisfaction. At the very least, it gives us a chance to apologise where something has gone wrong.
