I was unexpectedly taken ill at 28 weeks pregnant and subsequently spent 2 weeks as both an in patient and day patient of the antenatal day unit and maternity wards & delivery suites at Stepping Hill. It was a very scary, emotional and stressful time during which the care I received was faultless. I was aware at all stages of what was happening with my care, staff were friendly and helpful and they were always compassionate about our needs and fears. At 30 weeks our baby girl was born by emergency c section. The staff were eficient and caring during that time and My post natal care was excellent, with plenty of time & help given with my needs as a mum with a poorly baby on neo natal. Our daughter spent 7 weeks in neo natal. Once again we found the staff efficient yet caring. They kept us informed about the care and were considerate of our needs as parents as well as giving our baby the best possible care and attention. I feel extremely fortunate to have a positive experience from what was a really traumatic time for me and my family. You may read negative opinions about the food at SHH and car parking (which is truly horrendous!) but all that pales into insignificance when you are in an emergency situation and have the kind of medical expertise that we had available. Thank you Stepping Hill!
"Excellent maternity & neo natal care"
