My grandmother who had severe stages of dementia was admitted to MAU and whilst on this ward the staff that looked after her were very good with her, they looked after my grandma really well showing her respect and engaged with us the family really well.
The matron and the staff were always very clear in regards to what was happening with my grandma telling us before thing happened (like moving wards) Unfortunately my grandma died due to her illness of dementia - through the whole time period (from the family find out) the staff on D3 couldn't of done anything more for us, the really showed care and compassion not only to my grandma but to us the family members. Excellent
