What I liked
The presumably thorough series of tests and examinations which ensured that no serious damage had resulted from the falls.
What could be improved
My mother was a patient at A&E on 24/25 Dec and again on 29 Dec, as a result of falls in the care home where she lives. My sister was with her during her treatment on 24 December and while there was no discourtesy or neglect, staff attitudes bordered on indifference and showed a complete lack of compassion or care for the plight of an elederly woman in pain. It was clear to my sister that the staff were doing the minimum necessary to get through their shift.
On 29 December, my mother was at QEQM from c 8.00am to c 6pm in the evening. She was kept waiting for transport home for three hours- entirely unacceptable for a woman her age.
Anything else?
I would appreciate a response.
