After 2 visits to the Darley Dale surgery with flue like systems which was affecting my breathing and having had the flue jab I went away for Christmas to Birkenhead. I found traces of blood in my phlegm so I rang the out of hours surgery at Darley Dale only to be told no assistance could be given over the phone and to go to Arrow Park emergency department which i did in the early hours of the morning. After an hour and no movement of the queue I spoke to another person waiting who said he had been waiting for 3 hours.

I decided this was a fool’s errand in a dirty depressing reception hall with little hope of intelligent life. I am totally disillusioned by the so called medical care in this third world country. The remedies seam to be based on trial and error and survival of the fittest. I am not only frightened of medical ailments but of medical care especially if it means going to a hospital appointment where the nasty bugs are found.

It would appear the billions of £’s put into medical care pays for high wages and long holidays.
