What I liked

the care my daughter received was very good

What could be improved

my daughter is 19 but has downs syndrome she was put on an adult ward her needs would have been better met on an childrens ward she was very scared she had to go int hdu and spent time on cpap i spent 8 nights on a chair as i could not leave her

Anything else?

the care she recieved was second to none but ithink she would have coped better with childrens nurses

Thank you for highlighting your daughter's case. We will ensure that in future we assess teenage patients with a learning disability or special needs on a case by case basis rather than simply by age criteria.
