"Cleanliness of bathrooms"

About: Warwick Hospital

I stayed in the Willoughby ward after an operation. The bathroom was for both sexes and found that the cleanliness of the bathroom was not desirable. I went to clean my teeth and saw traces of contents of ones bowels. This made me feel disgusted also being a bowel ward there seemed to be dirt over the toilet seat on many occasions and bed pans left on the floor or inside the basin of the toilet for collection one had to handle these pans to enable to use the toilet. The bathrooms should be cleaned frequently to avoid infection.very unpleasant indeed.

We are very sorry to hear about your experience. The Trust takes hygiene and the cleanliness of our wards and hospitals very seriously. This has been passed on to our Hotel Services Operational Manager, who overseas all the clearning activity. We will carry out a thorough investigation into this, and ensure that the correct cleaning procedures are in place.
