"Terrible!"

My sister has been waiting for her operation for a long time now, she has been in agony and so sick for the past year! which on it's own is a disgrace! this morning she was due in theatre for et operation.. she was put on ward 9 with one member of staff no beds just one chair in a cubical.. She was expected to wait there amongst other patients waiting for there operations. she was told to be there at 7am and her operation wasn't until 2pm she was suppose to sit in a chair in a cubical for 7 hours! she then was asked to move to ward 14 to a 'day room' which was a room just with hard chairs filled with people hid g there gowns ready for theatre. Having to sit for hours In a room staring at 4 walls until she was asked to get changed then head down to theatre. she was in pain very tired and just wanted to lay on a bed which you would expect in a hospital! also a nurse brought an elderly woman into the room on a wheelchair and left her to try get out on her own and get into a chair. Over all I am disgusted with the lack of respect and care for patients it's appalling how apparent professionals are suppose to look after you in this environment and leave you like this, I am expecting my first baby and will defiantly be changing hospitals! Dewsbury hospital is a complete disgrace, sick patients are suppose to be treated with care and compassion not treat like animals! furious with this this morning will not be going to Dewsbury hospital again. Disgrace!
