"pre op assesment"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

arrived at elliot ward at 8am even though my appointment werent till 8 30.meet by friendly staff.had weight and height and blood pressure and swabs done.done a specimen of urine.asked to fill in a questionere.see the nurse in charge to fill in deatails about the operation.given 3 packets of drink to make up before i have my operation.they nurse already knew about the emula cream to put on before going to theatre.was explained about the blood tests.one today then one to have done on the 31st april..she even knew that i wanted catheter fitted while i have my knee replacement.as a prevous member of staff had already asked my consultant for me.sent over to have a blood test.plembotomist told me about emula cream and numbing cream and about coming back for my next blood test on the 31st april.away from the hospital at 9 10. very happy that everything is ok.off to knee school at 1oclock. thank you all on elliot ward
