"Gone missing"

About: Whiston Hospital

Has anyone else had a problem with patients goods going missing after arrival on the ward? We took a large carrier bag containing a complete change of clothing, a new washbag and new toiletries, and my mother-in-laws very expensive dentures, into the Observation Ward on Sunday morning 30 March 2014 at approximately 11 am and it has not been seen since. On Monday evening she was transferred to St Helens Duffy Suite, minus clothes, night clothes, washbag and dentures. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

We take all issues surrounding patient experience very seriously and we are extremely sorry that on this occasion your experience was not at the standard we would expect. Please contact our PALS team on 0151 430 1376 so that we can discuss this further with you.
