To say the least I was a 'little' tense ?? going to have the operation. Arrived a little early for my 07.00 appointment , chatted to a Student Nurse before going into waiting room. After a short wait taken in to a small office where all details were checked, then eye drops administered . Over the next hour another 2 lots of drops, then a chat to the the surgeon and anesthetist , to say they both put me at ease was an understatement, they were so pleasant??. At every stage staff checked details , most impressive, they were so pleasant, nothing was too much trouble. Prior to going into the theatre two small injections, I was told the first would sting a little ( it did , not too much , we even had a little joke about it). The operation went very well, I was amazed how comfortable they made me feel, the atmosphere was relaxed, but that does not mean anything unto wards, I fact made me feel so relaxed. The op. Took about 35 mins. I cannot praise highly enough the staff Both in the Theatre and reception ...Wonderful. The tea and sandwich were very welcome. An hour to make sure everything was well and to explain "What happens next" (thank you to the student nurse) then home. It's been 5days since the op. Absolutely no problems can see perfectly, no pains or discomfort ....unbelievable. Again a big "Thank you all" Keith Graham
"Cataract op. Just brilliant from a very gratefully..."
