About: Wansbeck Hospital

Today I came to the gynecologist outpatients department where I was treated lovely by the nurses however when I seen the registra it was a different matter. He sat laying back in his chair and did not listen to what I had to say. He has left me deal to with my pain for 6 month before seeing me again and wouldn't consider certain procedures due to my age which I have asked for. He actually asked me what I thought was wrong when I came thinking he would know as he is the professional after all. Following this appointment I am now going private as I feel my issues was not dealt with at all and am not happy with what he has suggested. His attitude or should I say lack of was not what you want as he disregarded everything I had to say.

Dear Madam, Firstly thank you so much for sharing your frustrations about your appointment in Outpatients. We do expect all our staff to listen well to what patients have to say and to involve them as much as they'd like in decisions about their care and treatement. I am really sorry that this has not been your experience. I am sorry too for your pain and that you have been left feeling that your views and possible solutions were disregarded. I would very much like to understand more about your situation to see if there is anything we can do to help. We don't want any of our patients to come away from their outpatient appointment feeling the way you have, so it is incredibly important for us to listen to you now and learn more about what we need to do to prevent this situation from ocurring in the future.
