"Nothing"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

Nothing

What could be improved

Patient care and respect for a start.

Anything else?

My dad was admitted to Blackburn hospital for a gallbladder operation in September. He was in hospital for one night after this treatment and was discharged too soon. He was in a lot of pain and suffering from confusion this was ignored by the nurses and doctors on the ward. We have recently months later discovered my dad has onset alhzeimers. We have had a very distressing past few months and Blackburn Hospital caused us great upset. We have been told that the anesthetic and morphine my dad was given would have excellarated his alhzeimars. We do not blame Blackburn Hospital for this but we are disgusted with the care my dad received whilst he was there. When we visted my dad we found him wandering around in the shop with a drip attached. When we confronted the ward staff they said he had been discharged he wasn't even dressed. My dad is 70 years old and it was obvious to anyone that he was in a state of confusion and not well at all we are extremely disgusted and think Burnley General offers a much better care service.
