"Let's try doing nothing."

About: St Thomas' Hospital (London)

I had written a long and detailed summary of what happened, and my stupid computer choose this moment to freeze. So I'll make it fast. Your staff was really nice, but the lack of concern is a disgrace. My urine test got lost. I did 3 urine test for 3 different people, got my tension taken by 4 different people, had to repeat what I have 4 times. And after clearly stating that for various (explained) reasons I currently do not have a GP, I have been told to wait and see, and that if the pain was worst or steady, I should go and see my GP. I have a lower belly pain ongoing around my ovaries since 10 days, who started during heavily and abnormally painful period. It makes works really difficult as I am Pastry Chef in a busy restaurant, and started few days ago to make me dizzy and nauseous on top of the pain. Counting my period days, I have been in pain since 2 weeks. And basically came to you during a day off. I got a blood test made, and wait two hours for the result, got change in gown and change back to my clothes an hour later. Repeat what I had made me feel like you are incapable of communicating, and telling me sorry we lost your urine test, please do it again annoyed me. How many times do you think I can wee on request exactly ? Sent home with nothing. Still in pain, have to go to work tonight. My only option is to find a GP and ask for a scan or anything. as you have done nothing and shown no concern on trying. Having kind but unconcerned staff is ridiculous. A disgrace. Thank you for nothing.

I was concerned to learn of your experience in the A&E department. When you feel ready, I hope you will contact PALS on 020 7188 8801, 020 7188 8803 or pals@gstt.nhs.uk so that we can investigate these issues and give you the opportunity to discuss your concerns in full.
